Mirotice Jewish cemetery ukaž mapuukaž foto
The cemetery is situated 400 m to the north of the town square, on a hill above the Zářečí Street. It was established in the first half of the 17th century, and it was extended in 1740 and 1805. Around 300 headstones have been preserved over the area of 3417 m2. This cemetery is also a burial place for Simon Kafka of Milčice, an ancestor of the world-wide known writer Franz Kafka. The keys are deposited at the Town Hall.
